Saw VII 3D: The Final Chapter of the Horror Franchise
Saw VII 3D, also known as Saw: The Final Chapter, is a 2010 horror film that is the seventh and last installment of the Saw franchise. The film was directed by Kevin Greutert and stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell, Sean Patrick Flanery and Cary Elwes. The film was released in theaters on October 29, 2010 in the United States and Canada, and on February 16, 2011 in Spain.
The film follows the survivors of Jigsaw's deadly games as they seek the help of a self-help guru and fellow survivor named Bobby Dagen. However, they soon discover that Dagen has a dark secret that puts them in danger of becoming Jigsaw's final victims. Meanwhile, Detective Mark Hoffman, Jigsaw's successor, is hunted down by his former colleagues and Jigsaw's ex-wife Jill Tuck.
Saw VII 3D was filmed using 3D cameras and was the first film in the series to be released in 3D. The film received mostly negative reviews from critics, who criticized its plot, acting, violence and use of 3D effects. However, some fans praised the film for its twist ending and its closure of the franchise. The film was a box office success, grossing over $136 million worldwide against a budget of $20 million. It is currently the highest-grossing film in the Saw franchise.
Saw VII 3D is available on DVD and Blu-ray in various formats, including a 2D version, a 3D version and a director's cut version. The film has a running time of 90 minutes (92 minutes for the director's cut) and is rated R for sequences of grisly bloody violence and torture, and language[^1^] [^2^].
The film begins with a public trap, in which two men and a woman are chained to a platform above a buzzsaw. The woman, Dina, has been cheating on both men, and they must choose whether to save her or let her die. The crowd watches in horror as the men decide to let Dina fall into the saw, killing her.
Meanwhile, Jill Tuck, Jigsaw's ex-wife, goes to the police station and reveals that Detective Mark Hoffman is Jigsaw's successor. She gives them an envelope containing evidence and requests immunity and protection in exchange. She is placed in protective custody under the supervision of Internal Affairs agent Matt Gibson, who has a history with Hoffman.
Hoffman escapes from the police and sends a video message to Gibson, promising to end the games if Jill is given to him. He also sets up a new game involving Bobby Dagen, a self-help guru who has written a book about surviving a Jigsaw trap, which he never experienced. Bobby is abducted and wakes up in an abandoned asylum, where he must go through a series of traps to save his wife and his crew, who know his secret.
Bobby fails to save his friends and reaches the final room, where his wife Joyce is strapped to an electric chair. He has to insert two hooks into his chest muscles and lift himself up to deactivate Joyce's trap. However, he falls before he can reach the switch and Joyce is electrocuted. Hoffman monitors the game and is satisfied with the outcome. ec8f644aee
